THE 1965 SOMANHIS . . . a priceless possession. There are many things which constitute our life at Manchester High School. After a quick glance, one could say that Manchester High School is merely a modern brick building, designed to be used as a school. But there is something more than this; something that makes Manchester High School unique. This is the per- sonality of the school, which is the theme of our book. For four years, a quarter of our daily time has been spent in the classroom. Our academic training has laid the foundation for our future endeavors. For those who have had special interests, there have also been many other diversified activities. As well as those organizations which are closely related to academic subjects, there have been clubs and teams which have served the school, entertained us, planned social events, and contributed to our mental and physical growth. We of the Somanhis staff have recorded through the medium of pictures and prose the many memorable events which have composed our life at Manchester High School for the year 1962-1963. I would like to thank everyone who has made this such an enjoyable venture, especially Mr. Pinto, Mr. Ofiara and Mr. Saternis of the Manchester Evening Herald for their photographic contributions. With this thought in mind, I present to you the 1963 Somanhis! Margaret E. Woferto editor 1963 SOMANHIS STAFF Margaret Roberts, editor ...... Joan Anderson Toni Russell, ass’t. editor ..........
