DEDICATION Welcome Alaska, our forty-ninth state, brought into the Union on July 4, 1959. Your snow white glory blankets America's largest state. You mystify our neighbor with your moonlit days and sunny nights, but you can rightfully take pride in your streams, lakes and maiestic peaks. 4
