SOMANHIS STAFF Organizing the annual record of clubs, sports, and class activities at Manchester High School was the work ot the yearbook staff. The staff met under the direction of Miss lone Fellows in room 215 every Friday afternoon. Many committees were formed such as the lay-out staff, the running commentary staft, and the statistical staft. The staff attended the Connecticut Scholastic Press Convention held at the Univer- sity of Connecticut in October, where they learned many new ideas for the book which were discussed and put into practice at their later meetings. The Editor-in-chief for the year 1956-57 was Angela Grosso. A 3: Let's take a tour through the school 'xp- .1 if . X if Meeting the Deadline! 56 s SOMANHIS ADVERTISING STAFF r. .'- ' Front Row: M. SOMANHIS ADVERTISING STAFF The members of the Somanhis Advertising Statt, under the direction of Mr. Edward Ryder, did, as usual, a wonderful iob. The members of the staff sold advertising space to the merchants of Manchester, and acted as salesmen in the selling of this year's Somanhis. This kept the price the same as last year's book. With a school of this size it's a hard iob to cover the whole school. This year's staff did it and did it well. Our hats come oft to the Somanhis Advertising Staff. The Somanhis Advertising Staff wishes to thank the merchants who helped them along, and it asks that the students of Manchester High School patronize these merchants.
