During the football and basketball season they did formation PSF- formances with Zarl Dunn as drum major and Peggy Roe and Janaan Haug, drum najorettes. Instrumental soloists taking part in the district contest at Monticello are: Merle Kratzer, baritone euphsniumg Leola Roller, sousaphoneg Hubert smith, saxoohoneg Earl Dunn, French horny Helene Hebron, tromboneg Lorraine lushnell, piano, Robert Dykema, cornet and Phyllis Fry, bass clarinet. The Concert Band with forty-nine members entered the sub-district con- test at Monticello on April 5. The Brass Sextette and Clarinet Quartet also are participating ln this contest. On March 31, the band and glee clubs presented their annual concert in- cluding cont st pieces and both vocal and instrumental soloists. Mr. Odegaard, director of the band and instrumental groups, is doing an excellent job of conducting this year. 2.8 H
