HlllllllllHIllllwiiiltillllllllllllQ!Q9llIIllMH5pIHlZllllllll4IllIll??iQ??I!iQlIlIIlllllllllllllll Freshmen I.-. ll Il P- ,ff . 1 N Q 4 9 ' cum y- llkyjll t x II film! :Ly I' 'ver l ' 'W ,i.,- f Q4 G ,WC It is a. great thing to be a freshman and to have an entire page given over to our prattling but be that as it may, we are out to show you how green, green little freshmen can be. Our whole year has been one of pleasure and delight mixed with sorrow. More than once we have needed the protecting hand of the faculty to keep us out of harms way from the bolder and more dignified upper- classmen. Our teachers have always drawn an inspiring picture using the Class of 1927 and 1928 as examples and we are proud that these classes have done so well. When we investigate the balance of joys and sorrows the balance has al- ways shown that the former were heavier. Singular as our position may seem we are looking forward to the next and the next and the next years with great anticipation, our heads and hearts have bee11 filled with wonder, wondering what we can do and will do to make Manchester High School history. Will we ever be instrumental in winning a county basket- ball tournament or a sectional tournament? In this respect we will have out- done our present predecessors. Will we win a few more prizes? Will we be punished more severely than have been some of our haughty Seniors and J uniors? Will we build a bigger and better banquet? Will we ever bow our heads in defeat? I We are telling the printer now that he must save his type that tells of glory and achievement, for we are only learning the ways and the means will be devised in the future. Mr. Printer, there are but five letters we want you to put away for use on us three years hence and they are: G-L-O-R-Y. We are out to win and we expect to out distance our former classmates who have gone on before us. Twelve

This was indeed unfortunate for the boys, but nevertheless they are worthy of unlimited praise for their excellent ability to aid in all our ext1'a-cu1'1-ieula1' activities. Miss Edna Lindahl has been a most capable and faithful director of the glee elub for the last three years and is efficient in her interpretation of music. May Miss Lindahl be with us next year. 1f'0'lH't0C7b
