This edition of Les Memoires is gratefully dedicated to the valor and patriotism shown by the armed forces of the United Nations in the defense of the Liberties and Democratic Ideals in their fight against communism in Korea and throughout the entire World. This has been a significant period in the history of mankind, and the sacrifices demonstrated by the armies of the free peoples of the world, teach to each of us the true meaning of Democracy.
