Qtlellii ff- At the present time, the world is engaged in an armament race with a result unknown. Many retaliations could come from this cold war. The hydrogen bomb, which is infinitely more powerful and destructive than the atomic bomb, could annihilate all mankind by making the earth nninhabitable. Another catastrophe would be the destruction of the earth by a terrific explosion. All this horror could be prevented. The United Nations, now at work day and night on international problems, is definitely the biggest preventative of a catastrophe. With full cooperation from all the countries in the World and with an international control Of the weapons of these countries, this world would survive for many more centuries. To this ideal-worlcl peace and universal brotherhood-we, the Class of 1950, dedicate this volume of Les Memoires. 3
