CHESTER HIGH TAKING REQPON- ING THEIR HELP LEARNING AND Hundreds of fans of the Squires turn out at athletic events to cheer the team to victory. Many of these fans are high school students whose enthusiasm is genuine and never-dying. Since dancing has been offered during the noon hour, this program has become very popular. Manchester speech students have been successful in winning many ribbons and trophies. Planning a speech tourney, like the one held in Manchester on January 31, takes a lot of planning and hard work. MEMORIES OF THE PLAY, THE TRIP - WILL When the Senior class met in the fall of 1959, we chose Pres. L. Bazzoni, V.P. L. Greer, Sec. S. Miller, Treas. S. Carter, and Reporter A. Strickler to guide us through our last year of high school. Our sponsors were Mr. Freed, Mrs. Faith Hill, Mrs. Ringenberg, and Mrs. Kester. Early in the fall the magazine sale was launched. This vic- torious campaign was climaxed by a delicious turkey supper. On November 6 and 7 the class presented the comedy hit Harvey under the direction of Mrs. Faith Hill and Judy Gottmann. The Senior Fish Fry on March 12 added another chunk to our growing treasury. On April 24 when a train bound for New York and Washington, D. C. pulled out of the railroad station at Servia, we wouldn't have traded places with ANYBODY. 28
