Industrial Arts Develop Skills . . . The industrial arts department provides two years of shop work. Mechanical drawing is offered to students in the upper three grades. In the seventh and eighth grades the work is of an exploratory nature. Twelve weeks of drawing is also offered in the ninth grade. The industrial arts program should develop the muscular skills necessary in the proper use of tools. Students learn how to work cooperatively with others. One of the import- ant goals is the proper development of safety habits in the shop, in the car, and in the home.
