GRADUATION Tlie sun shone brightly on the day of the 1976 Graduation ceremonies. This was the 87th Commencement Exercises at MC. Receiving their long-awaited degrees were: 282 Seniors, 19 two-year stu- dents, 1 3 graduate students, and an honorary degree awarded to Dr. Anna Beahm Mow. The Commencement address was pre- sented by Professor Hans J. Morgenthau who spoke on man ' s inherent need for adaptation in modern society. Sunday, May 23rd, proved to be a happy day for all involved. As the grad- uating class left the field, they remem- bered the good times they ' d shared. Upper left: A sea of caps await their turn to shake President Helman ' s hand and receive their diplomas. Lower left: Distinguished student, Elizabeth Kintner, smiles as she receives her degree from President Helman. Above: Public Relations Director, Jim Garber, directs the Senior procession onto the football field.

Summer orientation provides an op- portunity for many of the new fresh- man and parents to become acquainted with the customs of Manchester. The orientation also introduces people to people. During the orientation new students toured the campus, met in sessions on financial aid and adjusting to campus life. Afterwards the students returned home ready to face the upcoming year.
