IN DEDICATION CARL W. HOLL B.A., M.Sc, Ph.D. Ohio State University Flung across our land are monuments commemorating the soldiers and statesmen who helped make our na- tion great. But statues of mere stone and plaster will, in time, pass into oblivion. Some monuments, however assume an air of permanence. Such monuments ore neither erected on the grassy slopes of cemeteries nor in the dim recesses of city parks, but rather within the hearts of those who are most affected by the individual. The staff of the 1959 - 60 Aurora can add little to the construction of a monument to a man devoted to the highest principles of his profession . . . to a man whose personal contacts with students emanates warmth and ingenuity. He has erected his own monument Carl W. Hoil.
