r v lancnedter bu at u aau .■ s Our first struggle of the fresh, new day generally proved the hardest — the struggle with the alarm clock. The battle was a partic- ularly hard one last winter, for the battle- field was still dark when we went to class. Nor was punctuality made easier by the fact that the average Manchesterite attempted to meet his schedule on five different times — that of his watch, the college chimes, his radio, his clock, and the factory whistles. But once up, everybody found the challenge of a new day of classes, meetings, work, meals, and studies fruitful and exciting.
