Students and faculty alike are aware of his devoted work at Man- chester, and appreciative of his capabilities as a college executive. We will long remem- ber our president and his sincere interest in improving our college. 20 At home President and Mrs. Schwalm relax for a moment together. President Schwalm and sec- retary Evelyn Jones hard at work on endless correspond- ence. At his desk Prexy has time for anyone. 21 No matter how trivial the problem, Dean Holl will find time to have a friendly talk with you about it. The Anniversary Luncheon following Dean Holi ' s 25 years at Manchester College. The Holl family (except Mrs. Louise Weldy) at home. John, Dean Holl, Mrs. Holl, Carl Waldo, Jr., and Carolyn. DEAN HOLL Were it not for the friendly smile, the frequent hand shake, and the rare wit of Dean Hoi I, college life would seem in- complete. With a sincere interest in in- dividual problems, the dean always finds time for a chat . His is the enviable quality of making one feel at ease re- gardless of the situation. We like this man and appreciate his help and guid- ance. 23 DOCTOR KINTNER When the late Otho Winger became president of Manchester College in 1910, he adopted the policy of hiring graduates of the college as professors. One of the first to join the faculty was Prof. E. Kintner. Nothing could better illustrate the shrewd insight into character which the late Pres. Winger possessed than this choice. For many years Dr. Kintner was the sole science teacher here at Manchester College. During this time he has successfully fathered a family which would be of credit to any man. Dr. Kintner is a staunch Christian with deep convic- tions; many small churches have looked to Elder Kintner in times of strife and trouble. To none of you who know him or have been in his classes need we explain why we dedicate the 1949 AURORA to Dr. Edward Kintner. But to you who have not had the privilege of knowing him let us say it is for 40 years of selfless, humble, Christian service to his home, his school and community, and his God. 24 Dr. Kintner in the laboratory looking over some peculiar fruit flies. At home reading in the big chair (a Christmas present from the family) while Bob and Mrs. Kintner (one of the world ' s best cooks) look on. 25 ADMINISTRATIVE COUNCIL R. V. Bollinger β Dean of Students; A. R. Eikenberry β Professor of Psychology, Assistant Business Manager and Director of Student Employment; V. F. Schwalm β President; D. Strickler β Treasurer and Business Manager; C. S. Morris β Professor of Physics; C. S. Brembeck β Professor of Speech and Assistant to the President; C. W. Holl β Dean of the College. The administrative officers comprise an efficient and responsible organiza- tion whose notable supervision of enrollment, housing, health, activities, and general student welfare helped make our college year a complete one. Faced with the problem of excess enrollment, they have very capably performed their various duties. ASSISTANT TO THE PRESIDENT Professor Cole S. Brembeck has brought this college many honors through his coaching of winning oratorical contest- ants. Last year, President Schwalm recog- nized this man ' s abilities by naming him Assistant to the President. 26 FACULTY MAX I. ALLEN B.S.Mus. Ed.,B.F.A. NEW DORM The memorial Calvin Ulrey Hall, men ' s new dormitory, stands also as a monument to the contribution of two of the greatest friends that this college has ever had. Mrs. Calvin Ulrey certainly deserves the recog- nition because of the large amount of money that she has given to vari- ous projects here at the college. President Schwalm merits the recog- nition for his tireless and often thankless efforts to obtain funds for the various needs of our school. 36 CALVIN ULREY HALL Calvin Ulrey Hall is a fitting monument to the contributions by these two peo- ple. As you enter the building, you are struck by the lack of noise. The walls are lined with a sound repressing plaster. The rooms represent the latest developments in comfort for college men. And best of all, the building is made to take the use that will be given it and still be a proud addition to our campus many years hence. ust inviting you to study. Ample room for everything in the closets and those spa- cious drawers. 37 MAY DAY Dedicated to one of the grandest gals ..ejer, the 1 948 May Day was of top- nitch quality. Mrs. Sadie Wampler was the appreciative recipient of May Day honors. No one was ever more deserv- ing. Each float of the parade was de- signed to represent one of Mrs. Warn- pier ' s plays. And what a parade it was! Following the coronation of the May Queen on the Kenapocomoco athletic field, Mrs. Wampler was presented a set of luggage in appreciation of her outstanding work. Susan Riggleman reigned for the day, and did a splendid job. She not only was a very impressive queen, but did a command performance as Portia in the Tri-Alpha production, The Merchant of Venice . I. Once each year, but what fun! 41 _ ft w V V HOMECOMING Highlighted by a 14-14 tie football game with Canterbury, the hor|iej|knjng day at Manchester was a comr lgrg ' ' suc- cess. The day ended on a high piroΒ©-3ptin an exceptional program in the auditorium. The program included outstanding faculty entertainment and Tri-Alpha ' s commend- able ' ' T|je Monkey ' s Paw . 42 CAROLING PARTY It looked like rain β mainly because were warmed up, though, when the carol- that ' s exactly what it was. The U spon- ers came back to a chili chow in the dining sored caroling party was a wet one. The faculty handled the entertainment magnificently, with Prof. Merritt as MC. No one present could forget F. E. Reed, H. Book, and B. L. Pres- ton in the hilarious play about a mountain feud as the finale to the program. 45 MERCHANT OF VENICE The May Day highlight was the presentation of The Mer- chant of Venice by Tri-Alpha. Craig Cameron played the title role. An excellent Shylock was portrayed by Otho Wolfe. The romantic spots were filled by Sue Riggleman as Portia, and Jim Overholt as Bassanio. 46 ARSENIC AND OLD LACE Tri-Alpha opened its ' 48- ' 49 season with Joseph Kesselring ' s comedy, Arsenic and Old Lace . The entire action is in the Brewster home in Brooklyn where the old maid Brewster sisters (remarkably well done by Ruth Mary Halladay and Caryl Rundquist) provide an interesting plot with their slight tendencies toward homi- cide. A convincing Teddy was characterized by Noel Landis. 47 LET ' S EAT How about an ice cream cone over at the Oaks ? No? Oh, you mean you ' re hungry! Well, if you ' re really hungry let ' s eat in the College Dining Hall . No? Oh, you ' re not really that hungry. All you want is a sandwich and a malt in the Oaks . Then there are those happy people who can eat at home in their Trailer . 48 LYCEUM PROGRAMS Each year the finest in pleasurable and didactic entertainment is brought to us through the Lyceum Association. This year such outstanding programs as An- drew Cordier β Margaret Webster ' s Hamlet β Russell Wright β The Trou- badours β and Grant Reynard were brought to our campus. We would like to extend our appreciation to Dr. Hoff for his fine choices and endless work. 49 h ' i; I -- . Pre-season training was easier this year, for we had had three years ' experience with the professionals. Getting into shape quickly, Stu- dent President, Tex Weldy, took the first few volleys in planning the all-school outing and in being chairman for the Student Council. Play- ing in close to the net Senior class President, Ed Butterbaugh, with the aid of Vice-President, Walter Bilbrey; Treasurer, Harry Bennett; Sec- retary, Mary Esther Brown, assisted his team- mates in surprising the rest of the school with a Senior Ditch Day that led to Detroit. Winning the majority of sets in associated leagues were Merlin Shull championing the U , Don Schlat- ter, president of FT. A., and Don Durnbaugh with the weekly cannon-ball serve β OAK LEAVES. Sideline activities of the year included those mighty battles with the scales β the Senior re- citals, Senior portraits, and the Junior-Senior banquet. Leaping over the net, we shook hands for the last time with our Profs, and college friends. It seemed almost incredible that we had finished the game. Now we look forward to taking our places in the professional courts as teachers, homebuilders, ministers, doctors β all good citizens. The Junior machine began to roll under the guidance of Coach Book. It soon started to fast break as the mock convention in the gym nominated Louise Fox for the Presidency of the United States. Top honors were taken at the tournament against time as the AURORA was completed. Captain for the victory was Ben Haney, Editor, ably assisted by Business Manager Joe Ebbinghouse. Other Junior varsity members held positions such as presidents of U Commissions, Science Club, and the College Sunday School. From this tilt with the school year athletes Sellers, Enyeart, Beck, and Fruth appeared as leading scorers. To celebrate the successful year the Junior team joined the Seniors in the annual Junior-Senior banquet (prom) at Fort Wayne. Then there was that unforgettable pre-season taste of glory when the Junior team reigned in spite of the Sophs, while the Seniors skipped out on Ditch Day. They talk tirelessly, telling tall tales to teachers, students, or any Tom, Tim, or Terry in town. Aside from original speeches, they give numerous interpreta- tions. Anything is attempted here β from Shylock ' s speech in defense of the Jews β to an occasional hair-raising story. The hair-raising stories have been discon- tinued, however, because of the lack of any noticeable response by such members as C. W. Holl, R. H. Miller, and C. S. Their outstanding recognition comes from wearing queer costumes at initiation time in the spring. They think they ' re making fools of themselves during this initiation, but in reality, they ' re oddest when in normal character. 115 MTMJ . lEMtTlHT SICrtA PI SICflA THIRD ROW Rick Reahard, Wayne Eberly, Ted Harman, Arthur Kane, Joe Ebbinghouse, Tom Summe, Bob Neher, Tom Swihart, C. Even the black cocker spaniel that lives across College Avenue (you know, the one that howls when they play the chimes) holds up a bowed paw when asked about our Student President. As a freshman Tex was recognized as a leader by his associates when he was elected President of the class. His brilliant record does not end with social and scho- lastic accomplishments, for he has played four years of rugged football. Anyone who has seen Tex perform in one of Tri Alpha ' s productions will take with him a vivid picture of Tex as an actor and dramatist. His excellent performance in The Servant in the House , The Mon- key ' s Paw , and others are unforgettable. He is one of the few M.C. students in Alpha Psi Omega, the national honorary fraternity. During his junior year Tex became interested in oratory. With his vivacious and invigorating delivery he won the state oratorical contest and placed second in the national contest. Both Faculty and Students at M.C. hold Tex in high esteem. The faculty chose him to represent our college in Who ' s Who in American Universities and Col- leges . The students have elected him for four years as a Representative Student . The rare combinations of intellect, per- sonality and leadership found in Tex make him the kind of fellow you ' ll always remember. As Student President of 1 948- 49 Tex deserves congratulations and thanks from the student body for a hard job well done; and merits felicitations and gratitude from the faculty for an arduous task splendidly completed. 118 STUDENT COUNCIL The lawmakers , headed by capable Tex , may chalk up another successful year. They ' ve survived headaches with the social room, juke box, programs, and gen- eral campus activities. They ' ve truly been public servants. They have done odd jobs, run errands, taken care of things no one else would β (does that sound like a pub- lic servant or a husband?). Quite often, members of the student council have been seen in the social room until late into the night. Some of them go to the meetings on Monday night, too. Selected by the student body, these people deserve commendation f or a job well done. They will gladly allow you to pay a dime for a nickel bottle of pop at any ball game. In return for this privilege, they take you on a free all day outing to Camp Mack once a year for the insignifi- cant sum of half a dollar. SECOND ROW R. V. Some soups are soapy, some soups are slurpy, but with- out a doubt, all soups are soupy. Webster says A __ B β M liquid food, consisting of the broth of meat or vege- tables, shellfish, or the like. The Home Ec ' rs have some ideas of their own. Their favorite soup is calamity clam or terrible turtle . Regardless of where it is served, it is always only half warm. A very practical side is en- countered in learning that it ' s rude to heave Lycopersecon esculentums at pub- lic speakers (pardon us, Henry Wallace) . On nicer days, the Hoosier Hikers hike. The second paragraph may include such unimportant happenings as the release of an uncle from prison, the burning down of your house, or the birth of a new baby. The third paragraph should be an in- quiry of the Editor. It should be made up of questions that will make him think that you think he thinks you ' re thinking about him, although both of you know this isn ' t the case. Not too noiseless though, at that, for at times a discerning student can detect the Editor singing at the top of his lungs to keep from drowning in his sorrow over rejected copy and broken deadlines. On other occasions the still- ness is shattered by an all-night bull ses- sion or a vociferous idea-meeting to use the newer nomenclature for a sim- ilar session of mixed sex. At other times the shrill voice of Virginia Royer can be heard lamenting the absence of every mor- tal at a scheduled group picture; even the moan of Carolyn Holl all stuck up in rub- ber cement has been confused with that of Dick Myers over the obstinate adverse- ness of the worn out paper cutter to slic- ing paper. If the solitude is broken by a deeper voice it is truly difficult to dis- tinguish whether it is Jim Overholt re- peating his favorite slogan, Make it live- ly, for nobody reads the copy anyway ; or Joe Ebbinghouse demanding whether Kent Kurtz has been in the office this month or whether anyone has seen Barb Stuts- man this week. After the final cut, the squad began to shape up as a potential winner. Right at the st art the Spartans ran into trouble against Al- bion and never seemed to be able to get clear out of the rut until the final game. Although the season was not brilliant, several Spartans gained distinction when the all-conference selections were made. Howard Domer, guard, and Carter Caton, tackle, were given places on the all- conference second team. At the banquet following the season, Amzie Miller, anchor of the M.C. line, was named captain and Phil Enyeart, hard charging full-back, received the award as the most valuable player. 150 COACHES Coaches Harold Swanson and Phil Kammerer ready to begin a workout by the Kenapoco- moco. BANQUET Food, Speeches, and finally awards high-lighted the foot- ball banquet as it brought down the curtain on another football season. MANAGERS All year long the hard work- ing, little-heard-of managers serve the Spartan teams in many ways. This year the Man- agers were Marion Knisley, Dean Lehman, and Russell Leazenby. 151 Wendell Maupin M. C. Albion 40 The season opened with the Spartans travelling to Albion, Mich., for an expected easy game. But with the aid of some freshman imports and a new coach, Albion sent the Spartans home badly drubbed, 40-0. C. 13 Central 21 Bouncing back from the disappointing season open- er, M.C. outplayed the Greyhounds in a night game at Indianapolis, only to have two intercepted passes prove disastrous. 152 Dick Barnes Dick Piper Bob Walton M. C. Anderson 21 The unscored on Anderson Ravens opened the home season. They were just a little too big and fast for our huck Mathsr gridders. The Spartans came back in the second half to play the Ravens to a standstill and drove over the goal line themselves only to fumble on the play. M. CO Bluffton 6 The mud was thick, the rain was steady, and the Spartans left their webbed feet at home. Bluffton got a touchdown in the first half on a long run and although the Spartans threatened several times, they could not score. 153 M.C.7 Hanover invaded the Spartan gridiron and went home with an easy victory although Manchester showed signs of brilliancy at times. The defending conference champs took to the air and ran the ends as M.C. lost another ball game. 154 M. C. 14 Canterbury 14 Homecoming brought the Canterbury Knights and also a break from the streak of defeats. The Spartans outplayed Canterbury, but a blocked kick and a 60 yard run told the final story. 155 Ball State 35 The Cardinals from Muncie entertained the Spartans and the result was too much Cardinal and too little Spartan. Manchester could do nothing against the big- ger school and went down to defeat. 156 Carter Caton M. C. 27 Franklin 13 The last game of the season was, for all Spartan rooters, the best. M.C. garnered its only victory of the year by finally coming to life and showing its true pow- er. With our line out-charging the Grizzlies and Enyeart and Brubaker cracking through, M.C. rolled on to a 27-13 victory and a happy ending to the season. 157 Dick Sellers, Jack Sullivan, Sam Kintner, Graydon Snyder, Pedro Seda, Clyde Lehman, Wilbur Yohn, Robin Hess, Edgar Mills β coach CROSS-COUNTRY For the second year since the war, M.C. boasted a cross- country team. This year the hill and dalers had a successful season, largely because of the efforts of its ace, Dick Sellers. After losing to Indiana Central and Anderson, the harriers beat Taylor twice, then Canterbury, going on to capture third place in both the conference and Little State meets. Dick Sellers not only won first place in all dual meets, but also won the confer- ence and Little State titles. Dick finished third in the Big State and later won the Central A.A.U. race at Chicago. Prospects are good for next year with reliable men like Jack Sullivan, Dick Miller, and Clyde Lehman returning. When the season opened, the team featured Wendy Beck, Jim Weaver, John Fruth, and Don Hos- tetler from last year ' s team and three out- standing freshmen, Dick Piper and Don Hyde from the previous year ' s Chester Twp. high school Regional Champs and Don McKee from Culver. The season opened against Tay- lor where the fans soon saw that this year ' s team specialized in using the fast break as they ran up 86 points. Findlay was defeated next; then the squad prepared for the 8-team tournament at Taylor. Manchester won the first two games against Wilmington and Ind. Tech. handily and went into the final contest against Ind. Central. The Spar- tans led all the way and although the Grey- hounds rallied in the last 5 minutes they fell one point short as Manchester carried off the trophy. 160 ART WINDMILLER DON McKEE The Spartans defeated Canterbury for their first conference win. Following this victory the Spartans took on Western Michi- gan and came out on the long end 71-66. This made seven straight wins and now Day- ton was the target for No. 8, but after lead- ing the first half the boys faltered and lost their first game 57-48. Then came two con- ference wins over Hanover and Rose Poly. Ind. Central was next on the schedule. This game was to decide the conference leader- ship. The Spartans played hard but came home the losers 56-67. Franklin appeared at M.C. the following Monday and went home on the short end of a 59-50 score. This put the Spartans back in the conference race only to be knocked hard when Jumpin ' John- ny Wilson and the Anderson Ravens wal- loped M.C. 73-55 the following Saturday night. Ball State also had the Spartans ' num- ber, but Earlham, the doormat of the confer- ence, gave the Spartans another win. Now came the worst losing streak of the season. Canterbury, Ball State, Wabash, and Han- over all bested the Spartans. 161 SID SPENCER DICK HOSTETLER DON LOZIER JOHN FRUTH The Wabash game proved a thriller with the Little Giants winning on a charity toss after the game was over 59-58. The final game of the regular season proved a push- over as M.C. ran up its biggest score of the season and won 96-65. To top the season a benefit game was arranged with Valparaiso and this proved very interesting the first half, but Valpo pulled away in the third quar- ter and staved off a Spartan rally in the final minutes to win 68-63. This gave the Spar- tans a 1 2-9 record for the season β not as good as expected after the brilliant pre- Christmas showing. Wendy Beck again was the high scorer, piling up 316 points. Jim Weaver, senior guard, came through in the clutch throughout the season. The two fresh- men, Piper and Hyde, proved able scorers, and Spencer, Fruth, McKee, and Lozier saw plenty of action. However with the loss of several players the Spar- tans had the tables completely reversed and failed to win a match. Bob Bergstrand and Dean Whitehead alternated at the No. 1 position as each scored several individual vic- tories. 166 CHEERLEADERS V m MANCHESTER COLLEGE β HAIL TO THEE These stirring words have sent many Spartan teams forward to victory as they did against Franklin in the above picture. CHEERLEADERS Early in the year the student body elected three new cheer leaders β Jeanne Via, Ted Cham- bers, and Betty Oaks. Throughout the year these three have led the stu- dents as they supported their teams in victory or defeat. 167 MEN ' S INTRAMURAL SPORTS TOUCH FOOTBALL In the intramural touch foot- ball league it was a battle throughout the season between the Halstead A.C. and the Trail- er Court teams. After playing two tie games the Trailer Court team won the final play-off game. Members of the cham- pionship team were Bill Meitz- ler, Wayne Sarber, Bob Shep- hard, Carl Mann, Donn Kesler, Charles Ryan, Jim Tyler, Paul Rager, Dean Crouse, Paul Mor- ris, Bob Wysong. BASKETBALL In the tournament following the regular league play, the Rinky Dinks captured the intra- mural title by besting the Run- and-Puffs. The regular league winners were the Halstead A.C. ' s and Stacey ' s. The mem- bers of the championship team were Charles Sellers, Eldon Bry- ant, Wendell Bryant, Theron Swank, Bob Walton, Ralph Bailey. VOLLEY BALL The Volley ball league pro- duced many hard fought tus- sles, but the team consisting of John Bollinger, Tex Weldy, John Horning, Jim Rowe, Vern Hoffman, Harold Heeter, Bob Bergstrand, Willard Fasick, Tony Gonzales walked off with the championship. 168 WOMEN ' S INTRAMURAL SPORTS BADMINTON Two leagues were sponsored by the W.A.A. in mixed bad- minton. The play-off between the two league winners found Fern Pegg and Ed Mills (right) winning over Annabelle Crom- well and Don Warner (left). BASKETBALL In Women ' s intramural bas- ketball the Spartanettes ran off with the title paced by Louise Kindig, the league ' s leading scorer. Other members of the winning team were Janet Jen- kins, Doris Butterbaugh, Onita Jerew, Rowena Vaniman, Vir- ginia Jensen, Gladys Doerschuk, Carolyn Simmers. VOLLEY BALL The winning Women ' s volley ball team in the Spring of 1948 was made up of Jean West, Caroline Cripe, Fern Pegg, Leota Penning, Carol Dunlap. 169 1948 TRACK TEAM STANDING Merrill Mow, Carrol Stiles, Earl Erbe, Howard Smucker, Larry Wong, Jack Davis, Robert Harshbarger, Bill Bohs, Dick Sellers KNEELING Wilbur Yohn, Bob Walton, John Garver, Emery Kintner, Graydon Snyder Although hampered by not having a track to practice on, Manchester ' s track team managed to win one out of three dual meets. The team as a whole did not fare too well in the conference meet, but sev- eral Spartans gained individual honor. Dick Sellers won the mile and Graydon Snyder and John Garver placed high in the 440 and pole vault respectively. Although the season was not too successful it was marked by hard work and preparation for this spring when the team has high hopes of a successful season on the new track. Already the team has participated in two indoor meets with Dick Sellers capturing both the mile and two-mile at the North Central Individual meet. Dick also carried off honors for the most outstanding per- formance of the day. With much of the work done already, we ' re well on our way to the completion of a project of which we can all be proud. Our thanks go to the track committee for the endless time and worry they ' ve spent in this development. I Wm 4 171 FROM THE EDITOR ' S DESK Do you have everything, Ben? Sure do, Joe. Then let ' s take it to the printer. Those two words, sure do mean more to me than anyone can imagine. Elected as Editor of the 1949 AURORA upon the merits of playing second chair French horn in the Civic Symphony and guard on the second string football team, the prospects for a good yearbook in 1949 were quite glum. The outlook immediately became much brighter when Joe Ebbing- house was secured as Business Manager. Joe is tops in all ways β confident, intelligent, hard- working, trustworthy β just the best friend anyone could have. Then when Jim Overholt was drafted as copy editor we all knew that somehow everything would work out fine. Right away the photographers began work and contracts were let (after the Editor and Business Manager had interviewed as many company representatives as possible for the follow up steak dinner) . During the summer Dottie Earl completed the design for the cover. Well deserved thanks go to Dottie and to Ed Kase of the S. K. Smith Company for the accurate reproduction of Dottie ' s clever design. My personal thanks go to Fred Noer and Dick Brier of The Indianapolis Engraving Company. Dick ' s exquisite photograph of the Kenapocomoco opens our book. And to Tom McConnell of the Benton Review Publishing Company, Inc., we express our deepest gratitude for getting our books out on time. However even with the best of professional companies the 1949 AURORA would be a miserable flop were it not for the continuous hard work of the finest group of people with whom I ' ve ever had the opportunity to work β or as some say the chance to drive! For the tireless tugging of technical tackle to take terrific pictures we voice our sincerest appreciation to Denny Rohrer, Emmert Flory, and Wayne Lawson; and likewise to Denver Ulery for arranging the time and place, and to Virginia Royer for arranging the people, and to Joan Anderson and Bob Walton for finding out who was in the picture taken. A second bouquet goes to Denver for conducting the snapshot contest. Dick Steiner ' s cagey ideas for special shots can be seen throughout the book. Plaudits of the highest order go to a person who can handle an entire section single- handed. A million thanks to Ed Mills (Athletics) and Carolyn Holl who proved indispensable in completing the Faculty and Student sections. Dick Myers, who with the aid of Shirley Williams, produced the Features section deserves universal acclaim for his faultless work- manship. To our faculty adviser, Prof. Fred R. Conkling, I extend a sincere, warm thank you for proofreading the final copy and for frequently pulling the Editor from his recurring quagmire of discouragement. Joe and I both want to express our gratitude to Kent Kurtz and Bob Kintner for taking care of our advertisers, to Wilbur Searer for selling the books, and to Barbara Stutsman for checking the money as it trickled in and streamed out. The whole staff joins in a chorus of whole-hearted applause for some of the necessary but unheralded jobs done by Mary Nichols, Mary Bowman, the photography contestants, Betty Lou Hershberger, Vivian Swihart, Stan Bittinger, and John Miller. Only two words can express my answer to the query Do you think that much of us all? Sure do! Remembering that some of the most thrilling as well as despondent moments of our lives were witnessed by the mouse (maybe it ' s a family now) that lives in the east wall, we leave the keys to the office, the newly acquired filing cabinet and typewriter to Dale Blough and the rest of the staff of the 1950 AURORA with a heartfelt Good Luck !
