Columnists Tom Wheaton, Sharon McMichael, Doug Crepeau, Mark Provost, and Jim Andreasen provided commentary on widely diverse fields. The Lance came out at year's end firmly in the black finan- cially, largely due to the efforts of the advertising staff, Henry Depew, Tommy Orehowsky, and Becky Jones, and business manager Marilyn Heath. Pictures were provided by staff photographer Curt Schulze, and art work by veteran cartoonist Syd Bullington. Other staff members were Sally Truitt, assistant editor, and Bennett Taylor and Mike Fagan, sports editors. In all, eight issues of the Lance were printed, with copies distributed to students each month except January.
