Science Club Chick Contest Raises Money The annual Weather Chick Contest brought in an estimated three hun- dred dollars for the Science Club. Debbie Elliot, who collected the largest amount of cash, received the title of Weather Chick. The money collected during the contest was used throughout the year for field trips to the Bishop Planetarium and other places of scientific interest. Freshmen, sophomores, and even some juniors and seniors with a minimum of a C average in science were eligible for the club. Many new and exciting things were discovered through field trips and lectures. To raise money, activities such as bake sales and car washes were held.
