Drill Team Sugar Canes Change Code Under the directorship of Mrs. Sara Kidder and Mrs. Linda Hartman, and aided by Majorettes Tina Bandstra and Debbie Powell, the Drill Team contributed greatly towards the colorful half-time shows seen by hundreds. Traditions were made and broken this year with the new hair code. Drill teamers could still be recognized by their bee-bops which most wore faithfully on game days. For the first time new uniforms were used by the rifle squad. Also new was the leadership of Mr. Art Chandler, whose ideas for flag routines were appreciated. After football season the Drill Team concentrated on physical education. Majorette, rifle, and drum tryouts were held also. OFFICERS Captain ...........................
