Student Council Horton Leads School Spirit Student Council worked on exceed- ing the participation of students to that of previous years. With the increased enrollment, Manatee's spirit and united efforts continued throughout the entire school year. Student Council President Dwayne Horton set the pace for newcomers at M.H.S. along with Vice-president lan Smith, Secretary Holly Denton, and Treasurer Sharon Guthrie. The officers worked hard in making Manatee's government run as efficiently as possible. Mr. Olen Berry and Mr. john DeForge, the sponsors for Student Council, worked throughout the year with the officers, lending their advice, consent, and whole-hearted support. Student Council President Dwayne Horton of interest to students each morning has the responsibility of relaying news during announcements 1-L...
