Senior Picnic Senior Picnic Preludes Adieu Of the special events throughout the last week for seniors was the Senior Picnic held at Coquina Beach on Tuesday, june 5. Seniors arrived on the scene in their favorite bathing apparel to enjoy the chance to lie in the sun while underclassmen began to struggle with final exams. On hand, of course, were the ever-present chaperons- also known as teachers. Realizing that this would be their last control of these particular students, they enjoyed the action of the volleyball games and swimming. Wednesday, june 6, the Commencement Sermon was delivered by the Rev- erend Charles lim Marsh. His sermon, which was directed to both students graduating and their parents, was entitled Throw Out The Trash. Special music was 5 presented by the MHS Orchestra and the Girls' Glee Club. The Invocation was delivered by The Reverend Ray E. Bruce. The Scripture was read by the Reverend G. I. Bradley and the Benediction by Dr, David G, Hause, Seniors found that a game of volley-ball was possible even in the hot sun Two students found relaxation reclining on the beach. I2
