,- ---7 Y W.. Y Basketball-Wrestling Homecoming SC Promotes Homecoming A new addition in school activities g was the Basketball and Wrestling Homecoming. Both athletic teams participated in their sports events on january 19. The wrestlers beat their rivals, Charlotte, and the basketball team followed through with a decisive victory over Cypress Lake. Student Council sponsored a pie eating contest and basketball free throw to activate school spirit for the homecoming games. Members of the Student Council as well as the student body enjoyed various flavors of cream pies on Wednesday. On Thursday and Friday students from both campuses had their turns to prove their aim and skill in shooting baskets. Terry Lease digs into her pie trying to get a lead over her opponent. Rich cream pies were used at the pie eating contest and the one above was soon devoured by a participant. Roger Shea takes Cilfefl-ll aim while 135185 Arms are stretched as Mike lohnson concen Hook awaits his turn- trates on his next shot. 26

Musicol Cast Present 'Hello, Dolly!' The broadway play HELLO, DOLLY! was presented on March 2 and 3 in the North Campus auditorium of MHS. Drama Club members worked for weeks on Saturdays and school nights to construct sets and scenery for the play. The production was directed by Mr. Eugene Mazzone with Meri Bigham, the student director, who added her efforts to make this musical a big hit. A choral group of twenty-one members was led by Mr. james Forssell.
