YYVY7 Prom 6 The Devastations play their kind of music for the Prom. Student Dance In Undenfvorld The Bradenton Municipal Auditorium was the setting of the junior- senior reception. The room was decorated like an underworld wondeTlaT1d't'6ToTrespo1rd-vvit'h-rhe- theme 'A Sea of Thoughti Frogmen and sailors gathered invitations at the door while mermaids served refreshments to the thirsty dancers. An estimated crowd of 900 danced to the music of Images and the Devastations . During the band intermission, gifts were presented to the sponsors and hard working members of the junior class. lim Forssell and Dianna Yates take time to make presentations to hard workers.

Awards Assembly 200 Receive Presentations Approximately 200 scholarships and awards were presented at the assem- bly on May 30. lan Smith and Dwayne Horton were named outstanding senior girl and boy. They were also named to the Hall of Fame along with lim Forssell. Greg Haas re- ceived the most awards. Awards were also given for English, Spanish, journalism, music, perfect attendance, Manatee Masterpieces, Meditations Committee, Torchbearers, and sports. Phi Beta Kappa cer- tificates were presented to the top 4'Z,. Interact and Audio Visual received the Honor Club awards. Scholarships were awarded to Suzanne Walden, Pat Lehah, Mark Messina, Lynn Kern, Letha Perkins, Erika vanBuezekom, lim Wuichet, Alice Baither, Lynne Norfolk, Dianna Yates, Bob Hagan, Larry Rob- inson, Mark Pease, Tracy Scott, Cathy Spencer, Roger Perry, Carol Whitmore, Charlotte Anderson, Mike Collins, and Kathy Samuels. lim Forssell presents Roger Perry with the Paul F Davis scholarship. lim Forssell was named to the Hall of Fame and received the DAR C0011 Citizenship award. Greg Haas received the top score on the National Math Test. lames Samuels was named the outstanding senior athlete. lan Smith and Dwayne Horton were named to the Hall of Fame and were selected as outstanding senior girl and boy.
