Senior Debbie Hubbard helps to decorate the North Campus cafeteria for the week. Homecoming Sponsors loin ln Festivities Many special activities took place during Homecoming Week, including the decorating of North and South Campus. Senior talents were recognized in their float which was presented in the parade held prior to the game. Other floats displayed the talents of those people who worked on them. Six sponsors were chosen. Each one of them joined in the fun that was shared by many other students. Spirits were at their peak and everyone anticipated the final score of the Homecoming game. Anchor Club members pretend to be the intoxicated pirates on their club float. A lonely balloon floats upward and across the field before the game begins. 21

Jomboree lan, Suegene Chosen Royalty The theme of jamboree, Blithe Spirit was carried out through antics of comic strip characters. Pat White and Tracy Scott served as the emcees. The Raisin' Canes and the Choraliers entertained between the different acts both Thursday and Friday nights. The crowning of Princess Manatee Suegene Roberson finalized the first night of lamboree. Preceeding this event, each member of the court performed her required act. Guest talents were presented on the second night along with a special appearance by Marcia Cooper who gave her interpretation of a Fig Newton. lan Smith was given the Mammy Award for her medley of Simon and Garfunkel tunes on the cello and was crowned Queen Manatee XXVI later that same night. 55:1 1- ' - 155 3 K - lf T ' ' Members of the 1972-73 lamboree Court and their escorts are lody Reed, Guy 22 Q2 lan Smith beams with joy after being crowned Queen Manatee XXVI.
