Among the many choices were archery, badmitton, basketball, dance, field hockey, track, weight training, and wrestling. Also included in the beginning classes was a course in health and first aid. This course taught students how to treat wounds and administer artifical resuscitation in case an emergency ever arose. Mrs. Grace Toombs checks attendance in her P.E. class on the first day of school.
