Sis. fi 4'1- P.E. Creates Co-ordination Becoming a physically well-rounded individual was the main concern of the Physical Education department. Men's, women's, and co-ed activities were offered. Among the many choices were archery, badmitton, basketball, dance, field hockey, track, weight training, and wrestling. Also included in the beginning classes was a course in health and first aid. This course taught students how to treat wounds and administer artifical resuscitation in case an emergency ever arose. Mrs. Grace Toombs checks attendance in her P.E. class on the first day of school.

Students enrolled in this program learned everything from buying cattle to landscaping. For practical experience in such things as the maintenance and operation of farm machinery and the growing of fruits and vegetables, students were transported to and from the Ag. plot behind Bayshore Middle School. Products grown by the students were then sold to some of the schools in the area. 189
