Industrial Arts Students Learn Unusual Crafts Offerings of the 'newer' arts of macrame and batik, of the traditional fine arts of painting and sculpture, and of the industrial arts of drafting and woodworking met the needs of the students in the arts curricula. So many students were interested, though, that the teachers had to curb enrollment. The trend toward the arts was probably due to the students' desire to express themselves graphically.
