Junior Vorsity Cheerleaders Future Varsity Starts Spirit The junior Varsity Cheerleaders had one of the busiest schedules of any sport in trying to bring out some school spirit. Red Captures County Title The Freshman Red Team won the County Title with a 4-1-1 record. The White Team posted a 2-2-2 mark. The coaching staff, consisting of Bob Pickens, Steve Brown, Willie Clemons, Bill Bishop, and Wayne Dimond, thought the teams seemed to show the enthusiasm and desire to be successful on a higher level. Head Coach Bob Pickens said, I was satisfied with the performance of both teams. When they are combined to form one unit next year, I believe they have the talent to become a real winner.

Cheers Spark Winning Season The Varsity Cheerleaders led the student body to a very high spirited year. The cheerleaders were aided in their efforts by new megaphones and a couple of hard working sponsors, Mrs. Sally Bishop and Miss Donna Macke. Libby Manson served as Captain and Holly Denton as Co-captain. After football season the cheerleaders were split into two groups. Each group cheered at every other basketball game.
