Domestic Exchange Group Visits Massachussetts Exchange members worked hard toward their trip to Adams, Massachusetts. Miss Dennis and Mr. and Mrs. Bignell spent many hours planning for the trip and for the entertainment of the partners while they were in Bradenton. Three spaghetti dinners were held to raise money. The group left February 8 for the long bus trip. They spent a day at the nations capitol where they toured many historical points of interest. Members received a very hearty welcome from their partners at the Hoosac Valley High School. The week went fast as they spent it enjoying the snow and such sports as ice-skating, sledding, skiing. and snowmobiling. SpedolHonon Debbie Powell was selected Drill Teamer of the Year. Seniors Earn Special Honors During the year seniors had the opportunity to earn special honors for such qualities as leadership, knowledge, and citizenship. The Drill Teamers selected Debbie Powell as Drill Teamer of the Year. lan Smith received the Daughters of the American Revolution award for her citizenship and service. Greg Haas and Paula Stone qualified for the National Merit Scholarship Pro- gram. Paula also won the Betty Crocker Homemaker of America award. Seven seniors attended the 1972 Girls and Boys State in Talla- hassee. They visited the capitol and learned about procedures in Florida government. l2l
