Wilson Quill ond Scroll Society Obtains New Members On February 28, the new members of Quill and Scroll were officially annnonced. For junior and senior high school students, being a member is purely honorary, but all members must have done exceptionally good work for either the MACOHI or the 'CANE ECHO. Quill and Scroll is an international organization. The members of the Manatee High club meet only once a year to install new members recommended by Mr. Ben Tillett, from the 'CANE ECHO staff, and Miss Ioe Berta Bullock, from MACHOI staff. All members, once installed, remain members indefinitely. There are no regular dues. Members choosen over the past years are Mr. Ben Tillett, Mrs. Marilyn Nolan, Alice Baither, and Mark Pease. Adviser Miss Berta Ioe Bullock, along with the members, look over old yearbooks from the years they were chosen as members of Quill and Scroll. ll5

Spanish Honor Society Party Given For Children The Spanish Honor Society gave its annual Valentine Party for migrant children on February 14 at Rubonia. The party consisted of games and prizes as well as a pinata. The money for the party was obtained by car washes and bake sales. This party has been given for the migrant children every year since 1968. The Spanish Honor Society attended the Florida State Spanish Confer- ence held at jacksonville. They competed in catagories such as poetry and short speeches, impromtu speeches, declamations trecitations of poetryl, and dramatic presentations. OFFICERS President ............. .......
