Broadcasting Club Founded Amatuer Radio Club is one of the new clubs installed into the extracurricular program at MHS its purpose is to advise and to provide facilities for those students who are interested in broadcasting. Equipment used by the club belongs to the school or to one of the members of the club and they now have full facilities to operate their own station. FBL Gives Talent Show Future Business Leaders of America is an international group organized to help future business executives understand the workings of the world of business and prepare them for this responsibility. Maynard. layteens Help Needy Children The main project on the jayteen's calendar was the Toys for Tots Telethon, an event held in Decem- ber to buy Christmas toys for needy children. The layteens, a service club and a branch of the Bradenton laycees, helped sponsor a rummage sale and a children's olympic games for those children who were mentally handicapped. A tootsie roll sale was also held in front of the north and south campus cafeterias for a layteen banquet which was to thank the laycees for their help on special projects.
