Echo Members I ' lah la Create Book Deadlines, deadlines, and more deadlines were one of the cries that could be heard coming from within room 106, home of the 'CANE ECHO. After dividing up the pages of the yearbook, each member was responsible for the section given them. Drawing layouts, writing copy, and planning pictures were some of the necessities needed to complete the publication. Through the use of the darkroom, costs were greatly reduced. The money saved was put towards the tip-ins, one of the changes in the book. Another difference was in the advertising section. Instead of running from left to right, the pages ran from top to bottom. With these changes and the various ideas of each staff member, the '73 'CANE ECHO was created. ,T ,, . .. Film Club Zoo Interests Camera Bugs Film Club was formed just for camera enthusiasts at Manatee High School. Their adviser, Mr. Anderson, worked along side the members to help them produce their first film. The group traveled to Tampa Zoo to photograph various animals. The filming of the animals' movements gave the students a chance to get acquainted with the use of an 8mm zoom camera. On Special Enrichment Days, Film Club viewed movies of professional filming techniques and editing which also advanced the ambitious photographers and their club.
