Actors Perform For Banquet Every Saturday morning, bright and early, found Drama Club members at work in the North Campus Auditorium. To become a member, the prospective troupers had to put in ten hours during the initiation period. Productions of the club included HUMULUS, THE MUTE, given at the initiation banquet, HELLO, DOLLY! the annual musical and THE MIKADO performed in july and November. Excerpts from the musical were presented at a banquet honoring Mrs. Dolly Bramlett, former radio star and South County Rotary Club's Woman of the Year. 5, . Future Farmers FFA Plows Through Year Carl Rhodenbaugh's work paid off when his steer, Mousey, won a Grand Champion Award at the Manatee County Fair. The steers which were entered in the fair were bought in August and taken care of at the ag field. Besides raising steers, the members also grew strawberries, which they sold to the public. Tomatoes, lettuce, and onions were also grown. The purpose of FFA was to pre- pare the boys to become better farmers. The members received instructions on new farming techniques from both agricuture teachers, Mr. Henry Hewitt and Mr. Frank johnson. OFFICERS President .............. .......
