Stewart, is organized to promote interest in teaching. Senior members are eligible to intern at a county elementary or junior high school tor a week during the spring term. Throughout the year FTA members sold Hurricane Boaster plates and sponsored a dance alter the Manatee Sarasota basketball game. Proceeds from these protects sent Mildred Steele and Stephen Calvert to the State Future Teacher's convention in Gainesville. Membership in FTA is open to students in all three grades. Anyone who is interested in teaching may seek permission to ioin by contacting the Pat Alley Marilyn Austin G- Lee Brown Barbara Daniels sponsors.
