I Busy Manatee Exchange students polished many bushels of apples in order to raise funds for their costly trip, Once polished these apples were candied and sold during the home football games. . . . And away they go . . .for a week's whirl of the old North. Once the train left Bradenton, the group started hunting for snow. Before reaching Concord the students took a brief tour of New York City. Rock Around the Clock aptly describes this next picture as MCHS students waited for the Concord Minute Men to arrive. Turned out the Yanks were two hours late. Thanks to snappy band music and peppy cheers by the cheerleaders, everyone stayed to greet the visitors. Never a dull moment, said the Concordians.
