Twirling bright red flags to the music of Tuxedo Junction are the 72 members of the Drill Team. Flanlced on each side ofthe Hurricane Marching Band, the girls waved their flags for the homecoming halftime show during the game with Jefferson. Framing the Band and Drill Team are several snaps taken throughout the football season. Top picture shows the three foreign-born Drill Team members: Lilo Hort, Rixie Boelcee, Beata Meyer. Below them Nancy Prine blows her tuba. Pictured next is Governor Leroy Collins enjoying a Manatee halftime show in Tampa. Early in the fall, the orchestra gave one of its tirst concerts during the intermissions ofthe three One-act plays. They also played tor the l957 Jamboree and for each MCHS assembly. Highlighting the year, the group iourneyed to Ft. Myers for District 2 Contest.
