Below right: Manassas Park’s future artists, Calvin Wilbanks and Frankie Jessee, diligently work on their art project. X marks the spot is a phrase used to place emphasis on a point of interest. For this reason, X marks the spot has been chosen for the theme of the yearbook, Reflections 1987. Manassas Park High School certainly is a major point of interest to everyone. This year the land around our school is turning into an industrial community; and inside our school, our wrestling state championship banners are fluttering in anticipation. Varsity Boys’ Basketball, second in the region last year, plans another fantastic season. The Seniors are excited about this year as they look forward to graduation. The underclassmen are spirited and en¬ thusiastic, too. Things are happening here, and it’s our drive, courage, and ambition that’s tearing a blazing trail through Manassas Park. Middle Right: Manassas Park’s wrestling banners are all ready to make room for future state championship banners. Above: Mr. Parker, Manassas Park’s new vice principal. Center: Manassas Park welcomes Mr. Leonard, the new wrestling coach; he also is a substitute teacher. Middle Center: “No! That’s not what the book says,” exclaims Michelle Floyd as John Duell looks on resigned. Left: Ricky Hagerman jumps for the ball. Opening Section — 3
