Dedicated to Mr. Hagood Mr. Hagood, a tremendous photographer, teacher, and pillar of the faculty, has been yearbook advisor for the past 14 years. He is a tireless worker for school participation and spirit through his work with the Student Council. His ability as a photographer has aided the football team to the playoffs for the past two seasons. He is a great person and friend to all that have known him, so we salute you, Mr. Hagood. Realizing we can’t turn back the time, just memories of the days of friends, love, and tears. Going from adolescent to adult, leaving our childish games behind, Searching for life, reaching our goals, growing stronger and stronger in our minds. Facing reality that we are approaching the time for us to go from here, Leaving friends, leaving the laughter of our senior year. All our memories to be collected up and stored in our minds as one, Learning the truth in a smile, learning from things we have done. Can we face tomorrow without security, without people on which to lean?, That’s one thing we may have learned--RESPONSIBILITY--------and all it may mean. Words cannot express our feelings as we encounter a world of our own, Longing to go back, back to our high school days, days that felt like home. But as we leave we must keep in mind this one thought, forgetting never, To set forth goals, reach them, and cherish the memories of our high school days forever. By: Alicia Matson As principal of Man High School I would like to commend the graduating class of 1979. This class is certainly one of the most outstanding classes that the faculty and the administration has had the pleasure of teaching. There are many students in the class of 1979 that have achieved high standings academically. As well as athletically, we are proud of our athletic program at Man High School. It takes the dedication of students and perseverance to reach the goals that they have established. I believe that within the class of 1979, we have the kind of students that possess those high qualities to insure success. Our sincere appreciation and thanks to this fine class for the work that they have done in helping Man High School to be so highly recognized. Bob T. Kerley, Principal Message To You A yearbook’s main goal is to capture memories of high school in a way that a high school student views it. I think the 1979 edition of the Man High Echo has reached this goal by presenting an annual centered around the activities that made the year 1979 at Man High. The staff has put together a unique book, expressing our class goals, dreams, and mostly capturing those precious moments of high school life that will stay fresh in our minds forever. As editor of this annual, I have satisfied a longing to make the most of my senior year, and found a way to remember it always. As a final note, I hope that everyone who seeks out this book finds the same heavenly satisfaction. Sherry Paynter: Editor Homeroom Officers CLOCKWATCHERS WORLD’S GREATEST LOVERS Kenny Runyon MR. MS.
