Text from Pages 1 - 136 of the 1975 volume:

WHAT MAKES LIFE WORTH LIVING? Love, life, ideals, and mankind are the four vital tools that make our lives worth living. 1 strongly believe that the most precious thing in life is love. It does not matter what kind of love, just do not have a selfish love. It ran 1m love between man and God, parent and child, friend and friend, teacher and students, or brother and sister. The important thing is let there be love. Love is number one in life. Next to love is life. Life itself is most precious. All the emotions of life, all the energy of life and all the experiences of life, make life unique. Life is one of love’s partners. If we have love and life, we then need ideals to keep life going. Furthermore, the words love” and ideal” are without meaning by themselves. Love exists only when there is someone to love and someone to be loved by. This is why mankind is very important. Love, life, ideals, and mankind come alive as soon as there is a reciprocal and com- plementary relationship of give and take established. When this is established, that is when life is worth living. If this has not happened in your life, you must have hope that it will. Love, life, ideals, and mankind are the precious and vital tools that make life worth living. Gleandcll Waller Dedication We, the 1975 Man High Echo Staff, would like to dedicate our annual to oui Mankin. He has shown an endless warmth and understanding toward the student body. Mr. Mankin graduated from Matwan High School in 1957. He then entered WVU where he received his B.S. and M.S. degree. He came to Man High in 1963 as assistant coach in all the sports, a very welcome addition to the Man High faculty. He has been assistant principal for eight years. His wife, Susan, is an elementary school teacher at Amherstdale Grade. They have two children, Craig Amette, 6 and Jeana Susan 4. For our deep appreciation of his work and sacrifice to the student body of Man Senior High, we dedi cte our yearbook. MAN HIGH ECHO STAFF SCHOOL SONG Stands the scnool we love so dear - ty. glor - i - ous to view Let us pledge by word and deed our love for Old Kan High EDITORS COMMENT Being a student of Man High School for three years has been enjoyable. However, being a senior you have to face many responsibilities, because the so Ph- omores and juniors will look up to us for guidance that leads to cooperation. Everyone awaits their senior year, because it is their last year, but I’m sure everyone will miss their school years. At last, my dreams have come to reality.
