Mr. Bob Kerley resides at South Man with his wife, Gloria, and their two daughters, Kim 6, and Kelley 11, who attend South Man Grade School. Mis wife, Gloria, is a teacher at Man Jr. High. Mr. Kerley received his B.S. degree at East Tennessee State University and his M.S. was obtained at Peabody College in Nashville. He later did post graduate work at Marshall University. Mr. Kerley’s first teaching assignment was at Matewan High as band director. He was later band director at Man High School and Logan High School. In 1969, Mr. Kerley was appointed as principal of Man High School. “Although it is time consuming and challenging, I feel that this is a great position to hold. Mr. Kerley and his family feel that being principal is a great honor. “I have developed a great sense of pride by being part of Man High School,” was his last comment. Some of his hobbies are music, which is his favorite, and golf and fishing second.
