.IEANETTE WOHLERS I Can Cook, Too Jeanette has given much service to our school. She has devoted a great deal of her time to the Oracle Business Staff of which she has been Assistant Business Manager. She has also participated on the Oracle Literary Staff and the Pep Club. Jeanette has been an active member of the Student Police as well as Chorus. Her interests have also included sports and Sport Night. Her future plans are college and a major in home economics. CAROL POLLACK Thou Swell Vivacious Carol, Typing Editor of the yearbook, has participated in many sports including Hockey, Bowling, Basketball, Stunts and Tumbling, and Softball for which she has received her shield. Carol was a member of the Girls Leaders Club. She has been twirling for Malverne since she entered the school, rose to Head Majorette for the past two years, and has won a key, many medals, and a trophy for her skill. After graduation she is headed for a secretarial career. ,IUDITH DAUM Jumpin' Judy An active member of the senior class, Judy has been Secretary and Treasurer of the Student Council. For two years, she has been elected to represent Malverne as a public officer in Mineola on Careers Day. Hockey and Baseball have been her favorite sports. She has been a member of Chorus and A Cappella Choir, of which she is secretary, as well as being chosen for the Octette. Judy plans to attend Roanoke College. Virginia to train for a career in teaching. CAROL BROMBACKER Sparkling And Bright Carol has been a very busy girl during her four years at Malverne. She was the Circulation Manager of the Oracle in her senior year. secretary of Chorus, and a member of A Cappella Choir. Carol also participated in sports and was President of Girls Leaders' Corps. Besides being on Library Council, she was a member of the Future Teachers Association, and after college hopes to pursue a career in teaching. KAREN ROSENTHAL Happy Talk One of our busiest seniors, Karen's activi- ties include Booster Manager of the 1959 Oracle, participation in sports, and service on the Library Council and Student Police for the past four years. She has worked on the Mule Business, Literary, and Circulation Staffs. In addition, she worked on the Student Council and Decoration Committee for the Junior Prom. Her experience in the Future Teachers of America will aid her in her goal as a teacher of handi- capped children. JOYCE MOTYKA I Want To Be Happy Joyce served her school on the Oracle Staff as Correspondence Manager in her senior year. She was kept busy as secre- tary to a faculty member, but also found time to work on the Mule and Oracle Busi- ness Staffs. ROSEMARIE CAMINITI Rosemarie, We Love You 'fRose, this year's Oracle Editor-in-Chief, has been a busy girl throughout her years at Malverne. She has participated in Band, Mule Literary Staff, Mule Business Staff, was V.P. of Leaders' Club, and was in various sports. An outstanding student, she has won the Latin III medal and is a member of the National Honor Society. An active interest in French Club indicates that Rose's future will be in languages. ENID HORN Stay As Sweet As You Are Hoping to be a future nurse, Enid has been an active member of the Malverne High School student body. She was a member of the Band, Teenage Council, Student Police, and the Nurses Club. She also par- ticipated in sports and Sport Night. Enid has written for the Mule and was the Manager of the Business Staff of the Oracle. LYNDA KALMAN A Little Brains, A Little Talent Lynda has been an out- standing student due to her leadership and personality. Our Oracle Art Editor was in the Honor Society and won the Elmira Key, awarded to the best all-around junior girl. Having been very interested in sports. she earned her gold key. Lynda's other activities have included Library Council, being Vice-President of French Club, and Historian of F.T.A., Choir, and the Make-up Committee of which she was chairman. College and a career in art are in Lynda's future. REGINA OVERACKER Wonderful One Gina, pursuing her interest in nursing, is the Secretary-Treasurer of the Future Nurses Club and a Volunteer Nurses' Aide. Much of her time this year was spent on the Oracle as Associate Editor. She has served four years on the Student Police and the Library Council respectively as Sergeant and President this year. She is active in sports, Girls Leaders Corp, and A Cappella Choir. Her next step is nurse's training and her R.N. ROSEMARY RENKEN Kitten On The Keys Rosemary has been our fine organ- ist at school assemblies as well as at many public evening programs. Her interest and sincerity in school functions have made her very well-liked. Rosemary was an As- sociate Editor of the Oracle and has belonged to the Honor Society, Band, Assembly Committee, and Future Nurses Club. She also has participated in many sports such as Tennis, Basketball, Volleyball, and Badminton. Rosemary hopes to attend nursing school in the fall. WILLIAM RHODES You're The Greatest Bill, popular Photography Editor of the Oracle, has done much for Malverne during his years here. He was V.P. of Student Council, President of the Honor Society, Mule Publicity Manager, and Sergeant of the Student Police. Aside from these offices, Bill was a member of Teen- age Council and found time to participate in Varsity Football and Basketball. Bill's future plans include college and a career in the field of engineering.
