As a philosopher, your dedication to our school and un- ending quest for knowledge have sown the seeds of learning in our minds. As a leader of the English Department and adviser of the Oracle, your determination and dedi- cation have been our inspiration. But it is your character and personality, your boundless spirit and vitality, your warmth and sincerity, and y ur energetic and enthusiastic teaching that have made such a lasting impression pon all of us at Malverne. officers - class of 1959 iffy. fem XQM4 ROBERT BOND American Hero Letter- man Bob has boosted our Football, Wrest- ling, and Track Teams. His contributions to the Mule Sports Staff, Chorus, Student Police, and Teenage Council as well as his leadership displayed as past Vice-President of the Student Council and as Vice-President of the A Cappella Choir, made him a natural for acceptance into the Honor Society. Bob has been his Homeroom Chair- man for three years and is now the Class President. LEONARD HECHT Luck Be A Lady Moe, our well-liked Secretary of the Senior Class, was noted for his athletic ability. He was Co-captain of the Football Team and a Varsity letterman in Basketball as well as a member of Student Police. Moe plans to go to college and study for a degree in business administration. RICHARD GUMO The Most Happy Fella Richie, our friendly and sincere Vice- President has accomplished much in these high school years. Aside from being a class officer. he was also Captain of Student I . News Police. Vice-President of Student Council, Associate Editor of the Mule, President of A Cappella Choir, and a member of Honor Society. He also worked on Teenage Coun- cil, Chorus, and played Varsity Baseball. College and engineering are planned for his future. RALPH G E L L I N G Mr. Wonderful Ralph has been a credit to his class and school because of his sincerity and intelli- gence. One of the most well-liked seniors, he was Secretary of the Class and Presi- dent of Chorus. He has worked on the Mule Literary Staff, earned a varsity letter for Basketball, and has served the school by be- ing on the Student Police, Teenage Council, and Color Guard.
