STEFAN HABSBURG-LOTHRINGEN 30 Hyde Ave. Newton, Mass. Steve Big Steve , the Austrian delegate to the Malvern U.N., landed on our campus last year. Immediately, he made himself popular by his gay manner and serious achievements. A Golden Honor Roller , Stefan was also quite an athlete, being elected Cap- tain ofthe swimming team during his Senior year. We are very grateful to him for the cartoons in this Malvernian, of which he was Art Editor. Our muscular hero plans to become an engineer at M. I. T. HALLY Clover Lane Newton Square, Pa. llJoeIl Puff! Crash! Boing! Here it is, - the corner stone of Senior A's merriment, - Joe Hally. Joe has the sole power of amusing Fr. Carney while he is marking English exams, and claims to be responsible for a great deal of Bob Hope's success. Football fans admire his great gallop through the opponent lines, but Newton Square wants him to run for mayor. Sometimes it is wise to be regular, isn't it? Joe hopes to continue his studies at Penn State. J. V. JOHN M. FLYNN 341 Owen Ave. Lansdowne, Pa. Jack Both Malvern and Warner Brothers are very proud of Jack, - Malvern because of his engaging disposition and contagious smile, and the Warner Brother for his constant advertisement: Movies are better than ever. Since he rode in from Lans- downe four years ago, Jack proved himself to be a football player of note, not to mention his ability as a linguist and a scholar of no mean note. Villanova will see him in September. QQER3' I Junior Team Football 'I-2-3 59 l Varsity Football 4 X3 Varsity Baseball 2-3-4 x ,X Blue and White Club 3-4 S -1-,f JAMES GRIFFIN 326 Valley Rd. WILLIAM P. HALLY Clover Lane Newton Square, Pa. ffsmff Swish! Hurrah! Another touchdown! That's our football hero Bill Hally. Bill holds the post of guardian for his two brothers, - Joe and Eddie, Oh! what a iob, sometimes! Al- though he centered himself on sports only, Bill is known to be quite a vocalist. His hobby is flying trucks and hot rods, but sometimes he forgets his hobbies over a pretty blonde. Bill's next detour to becoming President of the United States is as yet unknown. 5 ' J. V. Philadelphia, Pa. Georgie Although Father Eagan seems to have George marked as the reticent type, many a class period has been enlivened by George's witticisms. Since his Freshman year, he has been Joe Hally's self-appointed Guardian Angel. George was a hard- working member of the stage crew for the Cap-n-Bonnet Players for many years, finally, last Autumn, he became an actor. His one line, Essie, listen! will be long-remembered as his stage triumph. Let George do it - he will be a success. caan .lunior Football 2-3 T Blue and White Club 3-4 O, ,vs 1 Cap-n-Bonnet Players 3-4 J A Q73 of l 1 A r . J 9 f fffi Wf?fZ!ZEet.
