MARCH CALENDAR During the month of April, our thoughts were turned to a more serious vein as many of us were attending regular or special services commem ing Easter. On April l and 2, Malv High was honored to serve as the host school for the State Convention ofthe National Honor Society. By this time, track season was well under way with our Leopard Thincla making a good showing. As always, each member of the team was doing his best and was trying to repeat the winning ofthe District IIIAA Champ- ionship. Ofal' Cfll ds MAY One of the biggest t-tems pzi our school year is the Student tlonuttl election. This Line when de-e:'.'.ri,1 juniors .ire nominated for Student Council president and vice presnient. .Xlong with the election vonzes .ill kinds of campaigning from poster parties to public debating. Another exciting event is Twirp Week, when the girls take up the Leap Year pursuit by asking the boys for dates. Sadie Hawkins Day is gi popular feature of 'lwirp Week. APRIL ,-,.-....,.... May, the last month ofthe school year, arrived with the usual flurry of festive events. The Junior-Senior Party, the prom, and all of the other senior activities are held in this short month. Graduation closed out the month with the good-bys and nostalgic memories especially of the seniors.

SUPERINTENDENT OF SCHOOLS LYAL L. BRUCE Henderson, B. A. University of Arkansas, M.S. Graduate work at Columbia University Mr. Bruce is completing his seventh year as Superintendent of the Malvern School Districts. Many improvements have been brought about during his administration, the latest being the new junior high school, which is now under construction. MRS. GLEN WISEMAN Secretary to Mr. Bruce is Mrs. Glen Wiseman, better known to the students as Pol1y. Her sweet smile and pleasing personality would certainly be an asset to any office.
