H isfory On September 7, 1940, sixty bright and shining students entered Miss Greighton's first grade room. L--5 Miss Dewell took us our second year. This year, Kathleen Guess F . and Alpha May ,joined us. Q our teachers. Bernice Rinehart and Don Crowl ,joined us this year. I 5 f in We went into the third, grade with Miss Rohrer and Mr. Thompson as tvs if ff, ' 121 ' 2 Miss Ayers and Mrs. Lovy took us our fourth year. Edith Dennis ,',, ' 'ii and Mildred Rist came at this time. t Mrs. Lovy along with the help of Mrs. Williams were our IV' , ig5f My ' teachers in our fifth year. Eddie Roach, Richard Leyda, 2 fig A7'I ii Jason Ludy, and John Geiger joined us this year. 3w'q, I i?g9,U ,J Mrs. McCreary and Miss Miller were our teachers in - whfwr 7 x QM ,Q our sixth year. This year George Brothers made his haf Mudd, li txxf entrance. ,-11i'XQI1f,, -' QQ . 1 , we entered the seventh grade with Mr. Gidley and if I 4 Mrs. Pretty as our home room teachers and right from Q the beginning we were branded the worst class in fff iii? fgffr .AQ 'CX' the school. Shirley Ossler joined us this year fZ?,Zf,!, sNi,fa.rM, P Our eighth year found Mr. Gidley and Miss ,ga .Q NNg'7,gNk Beacon as home room teachers. Our Freshman year Mrs. Romano took us Kbfg- I4 JFK 5 for the beginning, then she gave us to Miss vTJ' Ax Its v.,jW, dll 7 Drake and Miss George to handle. It seems W 'J sggmkmy iX!f she couldn't do much with us. ,XA so fx, I N J We entered our sophomore year with Miss is MI sg YQ N f :'W George and Mrs. McGhee in charge. Z QQRJQEsigfigERrQgEEiaf rf, We were the first class to ever get them gif ,L!, Q5 gg his eEf,'P AQLgJ:f in the sophomore year. Bob Hooker joined e?f7jF5ifiss.' i , 42559 !f us this year. Q 'g LZgf--fkP' ina' F Our Junior year finally came with Mrs. McGhee as our advisor. We sold refreshments at football and basketball games. We also sold pencils, tablets, Christmas cards, and magazines. ' In March we presented the play, nSecond Childhoodn, with Miss George and Mrs McGhee as our directors. It was a real hit. In May, we gave the most beautiful Prom ever given.at Malvern High School. Janice Griffin came to us this year, and Eva Hodge and James Weekley left us Seniors at last!! Mr. Gidley again was happy Caheml to take us. This year we sold pencils, tablets, and green and white hats. We had our class pictures taken in Dover, I guess Canton was a little too common for us. In March, we presented our play, HThis Thing Called Loven, with Mr. Firm and Mr. Swasey as directors. This year we also published our annual, HReflections of l952.n In May the Juniors gave us a beautiful Prom which we appreciated very much. To end our twelve happy school years, we took our trip, which we worked very hard for. It was to Washington D. C. This seems to conclude the History of the Glass of 1952, the best and most intelligent class ever to leave Malvern High School. iii!
