First day of regular classes, Mr. Stone says Doddy and Doris have a decision to make! Assembly this morning. Band Festival. The high school building has fluorescent lights. Donna Berry left for Club Congress in Columbus. Seniors had a class meeting. Pep rally, beat Goshen, 14-13. The juniors are working on magazine subscriptions. Seniors had a bake sale and Sox Hop, played North Lima, 6-19. Pep rally this morning, the band went to the fair. Off for the fair, beat Midvale, 26-6. Seniors had perfect attendance, Mr. Waltz was here. Spio singer here, grade school started selling religious pictures. Six weeks tests are in full sway. Played Newcomerstown, result: 0-38. Senior bake sale and Halloween Dance. Elected class officers. Seniors had pictures taken in Canton, junior Wiener roast in Minerva. Only three people Qboyslj absent from whole high school. Elected Margie queen, Cattle Crossing- 300 Feet -so says a traffic sign at the east entrance. Mrs. Lovy and Miss Ayers got new flags for their classrooms. Assembly, Seniors ordered pictures, school marched downtown for 3 mill levy, Seniors sponsored Cowboy Phil and Golden West Girls. Armistice Day, no school, Homecoming game with Waynesburg: 13-19. Seniors had a Homecoming dance. Assembly first period, why didn't they count that other touchdown, we were robbed!! Seniors are busy-signing memory books. Senior bake sale today. Six weeks tests this week. Leah won the county Prince of Peace contest. Seniors out to sell ads, Marvin was elected band president. Junior play tryouts, entertained by Mel- ody Four this afternoon. Got report cards, pep rally, played Dell- roy, Class of ,49 presented us a banner. First basketball game of the season. Took Every Pupil Tests today. Play Augusta tonight. Rocco quit school, Coopefs bus didnit get in till 3rd period. Sophomore party. Poor Clarence helped Mrs. McGhee count hands, he'll learn to miss Every Pupil Tests. Spanish party, school got new type- 20 21 2 1 January 9 10 16- 17 19 20 23 24 25 26 28 February 1 2 3 10 13 14 17 18 21 22 23 24 25 27 March 2 17 31 April 6-7-10 21 28 May 6 9 12 19 21 23-24 26 writers. Senior pictures finally came, pep rally, played East Sparta, 55-51. Grade School operetta, had assembly this afternoon and sang Christmas carols, Mrs. Pretty treated Seniors. -January 3-Christmas vacation. Finally picked our annual committee and printing company. Pep rally, played Minerva, 44-76. Mid-year examinations. Betty Markino's first column appeared in the STANDARD. Pep rally, played Dellroy, 53-49. A Lithuanian girl entered lst grade. Had a puppet show about Ichabod Crane and only one Senior was absent. Report cards out, Football Banquet to- night. Office force had their picture taken. Senior bake sale at Rice's. Girl's Chorus went to Waynesburg. Dave Walters passed out prom question- naires, tricky little questions, weren't they? Seniors took scholarship tests in Carroll- ton, Lessie Hinchee from Carrollton vis- ited hcre this afternoon, pep rally, played Sherrodsville, 63-46. Grade school program, pep rally, played Magnolia, 55-52. Senior play tryouts. Valentinels Day, played Dennison St. Mary's, 35-46. Juniors presented East Lynnel' tonight- a tear-jerker. Senior bake sale, played Perrysville, 74-42. Dr. Bingham was here today, a treat for the Seniors. Washington,s Birthday, no school. Beat Magnolia in the tournament, 58-54, pep rally. Individual pictures taken, pep rally. Beat Dellroy, 59-46, now we're county champs! Assembly to present trophies, most of annual pictures taken, Seniors sponsored Hawkshaw Hawkins. Show about Ohio, pep rally, played Strasburg at Dover, 47-41. Annual goes to press. County music festival. Easter vacation. The Seniors presented The Baby Sitter. Music concert tonight. The night of nights arrived, mainly the Junior and Senior Prom. It was a glorious affair, and juniors and Seniors alike will remember it for a long time. Band Banquet. Capital University Glee Club. Senior Program today. Baccalaureate Service. Final examinations. Commencement Service. D. C.
