Senior Prophecy xs.4r7 l'Ql'q f The day had finally arrived May 26, 1970. Graduation day at Malvern High School. It has been just twenty years from the time we graduated. When I say we I mean the Class of 1950 . It has been ten years since I last saw all of my class- mates together. That was at our reunion in 1960. If you will just sit back and relax I will tell you all that I remember about them. The reunion of the Class of 1950 was held at Fritchley,s Park on the Waynesburg road. Dale has a very beautiful park across the road from his home. His wife is none other than Donna Berry. They also own a large Electric Appliance Store in Waynesburg. VVhen I arrived Dale and Donna greeted me at the gate. Dale stayed behind to wait for the re- maining few to arrive while Donna took me to find the others. The first thing I saw as I joined the group was Astrid and Bert still holding hands. They now live on a large farm just outside Malvern, with their three children. I then smiled to myself when I saw Shirley Cier still laughing at Dick Deckmanls jokes. Shirley is now head secretary for the Ohio Power Company in Waynesburg. I glanced around the group for Dick's wife, oh yes, there she is just as cheerful and pretty as ever. Mrs. Donna Mae Deckman is very popular as the wife of an Ohio Senator. She told me that Dick was going to be a candidate for governor in November. There was Marvin jenkins and his sister-in-law, Vallerie Kelley. Marvin now has one of the largest bands in the country. That clarinet he used to carry to school really made him a fortune. He is associated with Obie, Vallerie's husband. And there is Patty Randal and Rosie Stoltz living in Minerva. Patty is now Mrs. Robert Dennis. She tells me that Bob and she have a striving insurance business. She says they can not save any money since she has learned to drive because they always have the car in a garage undergoing repairs. Rosie has married Donald Burns and is owner of the Burns Secretarial Schoolf, She is doing very well in her business. Ohl Joe Musteric just came in. He never could arrive on time. Seems joe still thinks women are a waste of money so he has built himself a cabin in the North Woods and is making pretty good as a trapper. Eddie Uycich is still a bachelor, too. He now owns the Isaly Store in Waynesburg. He always did like that place. ' page sixteen Margie Casper has come home for a visit from New jersey. She left her baby with Ralph. She is still excited over being New Jersey,s candidate for Mrs, America of 196'0 . The final election is yet to take place. Mike Marmo had a little surprise for us. You know he claimed he was going to be a bachelor after Bonnie jilted him but he has a wife with him today. Can you guess who she is? None other than Doris Evans. Yes, I was surprised, too. Doris is singing with the Canton Symphony Orchestra. Donna Thomas and Dorothy Casper were to- gether as usual. They told me that Donna Lee has built her home in California. She finally married Frisco, the lad from Texas. Dorothy Ann is now head nurse at Mercy Hospital. She's still single, you know she never could make up her mind, but joe is still Waiting. Wilhelmina Newsome and Florence Williams were there together. NVilhel1nina is now working with her brother, John, in their research laboratory. Who knows maybe she'll be another Madam Curie. Florence is now married to a very nice fellow and she seems very happy. Twila Unkefer and Mary Facchini just arrived home from a trip to Paris. They have been spending their poor husbands' money. Twila and Stanton are living in Waynesburg and Mary and junior are living in Harlem Springs. They still manage to get together and go roller skating. Norman Reed married Pauline Hubbard and they have a very fine dairy farm of their own. Clarence Martin is also doing well in business. He owns the Malvern Feed Mill. He is very happy with his wife, Mary. Arthur Hoover and Paul Adkins are now joint owners of a large farm on the Carrollton road. Paul is still a bachelor but Arthur finally married Norma Lewis. Don Cooper gave up his farm and moved to Canton. Seems joan did not like the country. They now have three little girls with long blond hair. Leah Dutenhaver and Wade Green also had a surprise for us. It seems that when Leah returned from studying in Paris, she met Wade in New York and they realized that they had a lot in common so they got married. Wade, is a professor of debate at Harvard University. And that is just about all I can remember about the Class of 1950,'. Of course you know about me, I married Harold and settled in Malvern. And right now I have to get busy. My daughter, Margaret, is graduating tonight and there is a lot to be done. Thank you for your kind attention and until we meet again Ijll say good-bye for the Class of 1950v. Green and White, .1950
