THE MUSE The Stunt Group-ln the fall when tht- girls signed up for Interest Groups. Miss Howard 's Stunt tiroup hatl by no mt-ans the smallest regis- tration. The enthusiasm of this seetion has bt-t-n kept from the beginning and many splentlid stunts and plays have bt-en protlueetl. The Soeial St-rvit-e tlroup has been very at-tive this year. The girls matle antl filled over fifty tfhristmas stot-kings. They mt-t with splendid response from the pupils in the st-hool, antl with their ht-lp sueeet-tled in brightening the hours of many ehildrt-n this Christmas. The group has further plans, and hopes to eontinue their work during the winter months. The First Aid l.i1'Ul1ll-A very worth while f'UllI'St' has bt-en prepared by the Red fl1'tlSS Society and the mt-mbt-rs of this tlroup, at the t-om- plt-tion of the Course. l't-eeive a l't'l'llfll'2llL'. BEANS Bt-ans. tht- pit-k of tht- t-rop, built layer upon layer with thin slit-es of sweet bat-on antl ehoit-est molasses-slowly baked antl wt-ll-browned over the glowing embers of an open fire-what a treat! Just sueh a treat is tht- monthly get-togt-tht-r of tht- Beans girls' elub in the Y.W.t,'.A. Girls from the east. girls from tht- west. Girls from the llUl'lll and girls from the south. Just the girls you would like to mt-et, In a rollit-king, frolit-ing monthly treat. Those of you who have not been to Beans really do not know the fun you are missing. Each Beans is all that one t-ould desire-and even more. Every program is a seeret and you can imagine the delightful surprise when, after a most enjoyable supper. you are taken into the Grey room. Here, sitting before an open fire, are rows and rows of girls in white middies. Everybody is laughing and t-hatting and before long you find yourselves in the midst of one of the many groups and joining in the merry conversation. Then eomes a jolly sing-song, usually followed by games. Stunts by the members of one of the st-hools or the reading of a story by one of the girls, eomplt-tes the program. New friendships are made and happy girls, forming a eirt-le. join hantls and sing the good-night song ' ' Taps. ' ' Stunt night is possibly the most interesting Beans of the yeaI'. Un this night, after weeks and weeks of praetise, the girls of the different sehools put on a stunt: the winning st-hool being presented with a prize. U readers! Imagine the pridt- antl ext-itemt-nt that filled every Malvernite heart when this year at that tense moment tht- judges presented the silver t-up to our st-hool! Not only hert- but at many other meetings our girls have shown tht-mst-lves a t-rt-dit to Malvern.
