Tigers Take First The road action began at South- west of Ludlow as MB dropped to the Wildcats 39-40. From that the Tigers moved on to the Brunswick Tourna- ment where they went down the first game to the host team 60-69. MBHS advanced by slamming Stet 77-55 be- fore losing the consolation to Westran 58-73. Next came the Northwestern Tournament at Mendon. MB raced by conference foe Bosworth, 85-71, then dropped to St. Joseph of Salisbury 55-51. The Tigers played the host. Eagles, for 3rd place, losing 71-69. This ended the road schedule with a 67-56 victory at Hale. At home for Courtwarming, the Tigers defeated Bogard 69-59. The Tigers won 8 of the next 9 games. In CLAA Tournament At the first clash MB thumped Tina Avalon 57-38, then dropped to Bosworth 53-60. The Tigers again defeated Bogard with a 38-54 score. MB got even with Bosworth by downing them 65- 46, and went on to defeat conference champs, Stet, 71-53. The Tigers captured the CLAA Conference Tournament Trophy for the first time in MB's CLAA history by defeating Wheeling 74-61, Tina Avalon 69-49, and Stet 53-49. MB ended their conference season with a 62-59 victory over Hale. 'Well I tried. , . . Ed knew where the bucket was—right over a Viking. Tigers jump for a steal.
