Life meaning more than the complex, showy world. Dedication not meaning a requirement, But a pleasure for life and love. This is a world that isn’t enjoyed by many, But the few who do enjoy it shine above all else. Enjoyment being more than self-need, But that of helping others to help themselves. In memory of Mrs. lone Smith who was the school secretary for several years. September 24, 1912 — October 27, 1969. A way of life; a pattern for the world to follow. 84 In Appreciation The members of the 1970 Tiger Tales Yearbook Staff would like to express their THANKS to the man people who have made this yearbook possible. We know we cannot name all of them, but we would like to name just a few. Each year a new and better yearbook is published by a new and different group of students who are ready and willing to learn quickly. We would like to thank all of the teachers and administrators who have been very patient with us by letting us interrupt their classes to take pictures; Mr. Lee Bearden of Lee's Studio in Marshall, to whom we owe a great deal of credit for his time and patience with us; Mr. Pat Pen- niston, yearbook consultant, who has been a great help to us by giving us new and better ideas for our book; Mrs. Richard Kemm, yearbook advisor, who has spon- sored us throughout this long busy year; and Mr. Paul Whalen, who has shown much patience through his time-consuming as- signment of taking so many action pictures of various activities during the school year. Looking back in the past, we would like to express our sincere appreciation for the years of service given to us by Mr. Law- rence McRoberts while serving as a mem- ber of the school board, and as its president for several years. Mr. McRoberts resigned in April, 1969. Each year merchants have been very helpful in their sponsorship of our yearbook. The 1970 Tiger Tales has been no exception, and we are deeply grateful to the many mer- chants who have helped us so generously. As we seniors walk out into this wide world, we think back on all the memories that this school holds, not just ours, but of all the former graduates who will look back and treasure those doors of yesterday.
