The Golden Tornadoes whirled to victory during their 87th annual Thanksgiving Day game with Medford on November 28, at Macdonald Stadium. The Blue and Gold defeated the Medford Mustangs with a final score of 42-15. Co-captain Jeff Sullivan was responsible for two Malden touchdowns. Seniors Mark Burns, Paul Coleman, John Ruelle, and Junior Steve DiFillipis all scored touchdowns. Junior quarterback John Stanasek tossed two touchdown passes and the two point conversions to Carlan and Ruelle. The success of the Thanksgiving Day game crowned the Tornados co-champions of the G.B.L.
