Other new faces were Miss Borssuk, Miss McDonnell, Mrs. Lovins, and Mrs. Scofield. Field trips to Boston area theatres sponsored by this department included attendance at Othello, Romeo and Juliet, The Adding Machine, and The Taming of the Shrew. Also, outside reading and current affairs played a larger role in all classes. The World Problems course dealt mainly with Viet Nam, population problems, labor problems, and other current issues. ln November, the department held a mock elec- tion for the high school and vocational high.
