PHILIP H. BURSTEIN 34 Bainbridge Street College Chemist A three-year member of Alpha Mu Alpha Fraternity, Phil was elected Vice-President in his Senior year. He also participates in the MHS Rifle Club. Phil's extra-curricular activities include hunting and photography, and his best subject is Math. RICHARD A. BYRNE 57A Lisbon St. Commercial Commercial Artist Richard was an active three-year member of the basketball team and a two-year member of the baseball team, and has received letters in both. He also practices his basketball skills on the CYO team. Richard is an organist in the group Society Children. MARGARET A. CAMERON 19 Winter St. Commercial Secretary Peggy was a three-year member of both Tri-Hi and Kappa Phi Sorority, and she worked with her class on Channel '68 . During the summer months she enjoys swim- ming, horseback riding, and tennis. She relaxes to music of The Supremes and Sonny and Chet. I JOHN BUSHEE 80 Wyoming Avenue General Commercial Pilot Bush was a member of the swim team and the outdoor track team, receiving letters in both. He has supported his class in all their activities, including Yestetday's Gone and Channel '68 . He relaxes to the music of his favorite group, The Beach Boys. ARLENE F. CADDY 26 Presley Street Dist. Ed. Legal Secretary A two-year member of Alpha Delta Alpha Sorority, Arlene also belonged to C.Y.O. She likes to dance while listening to the music of The Temptations. She often goes swimming and waterskiing. In school, her best subjects are Sewing and History. ANDREW R. CAMPBELL 18 Blaine St. College Air Force Andy was a member of the Ger- man Honor Society and the re- cipient of an Auxilium Latinum award. He was also a one-year member of the football team. When not working at Richdale, Andy attends DeMolay meetings. Math is the subject in which he excels. DAVID A. BUTTS 596 Salem St. General Bookkeeper An avid sports fan, Dave plays basketball and football, and during the summer goes horseback riding and Waterskiing. His best subject in school is Bookkeeping, and after school he works at Leo's Market. Dave often listens to the records of Wayne Newton. JAMES CAIN 435 Lebanon Street College Undecided James' favorite pastimes include golf and soccer. as well as drag racing and boxing. English is his preferred subject, and he enjoys books by .john Steinbeck. While not working at The Pancake House, James spends his time listening to The Rolling Stones. ELIZABETH CAMPBELL 64 Granville Ave. Commercial Secretary Betty considers Bookkeeping her favorite subject in school. In addi- tion to working at The Spa in Maine during the summer months, Betty also likes to swim, waterski, play touch football, and collect and play albums recorded by The Temptations and Little Anthony. PAUL BUZZELL 73 Converse Ave. College History Teacher Musically inclined Buzz was a two- year member of the Choral Art Society and the Chamber Singers. He has also spent five years master- ing the art of piano playing. Buzz has also served as Vice-President of the Baptist Youth Fellowship Basketball League. KATHLEEN CALLAHAN 96 Lawrence Street Commercial Undecided Kathy was an active three-year member of the MHS Pep Club. Intrigued by sports, she lauds the Red Sox. She also belonged to the CYO for two years. Listening to The Association, bowling, and swimming, are also among Kathy's favorite pastimes. FLORENCE M. CAMPBELL 24 Quincy Street Commercial Secretary Flo was an active member of her Church Youth Group, in which she served two years as Secretary. She was also a member of the Pep Club and Junior Achievement. Listening to The Mamas and Papas and collecting pictures are two of Flo's many pastimes.

MICHAEL E. BRIEN 60 Maynard Street General U. S. Armed Forces Sports-minded Mike loves water- skiing, swimming, and surfing, as well as playing basketball for his church team. Being mechanically inclined, he enjoys tinkering with cars when not working at Kelley's. Mike chooses Algebra II as his favorite subiect. EDWARD E. BRYAN 8 Copeland Terrace College Electrical Engineer Eddy is an honor student and a member of the Latin Honor So- ciety. He is a letterman in swim- ming and a member of the Y Leader Corps. In his Junior year, he was presented the Leader of the Year award. After school, he works at the Malden Car Wash. ALAN J. BUMSTEAD 32 Milton St. Voke Electrician Alan was a responsible member of the Senior class council. Having his flying license, Alan's main ambition is to become a profes- sional pilot. Leading an active life, Alan spends his spare time water- skiing, snowskiing, skindiving, and playing football. SUSAN BROADY 11 Walnut St. College Legal Secretary A three-year member of Phi Delta Phi Sorority, Sue served as Junior Corresponding Secretary and Senior Executive. She was also a two-year member of B'nai B'rith Girls. Sue participated two years as a member of the Band and one year in Greenroom. DOREEN M. BUCKLEY 1386 Salem St. General Peace Corps An active member of the German Honor Society, Doreen received the German Book Award in her junior year. Her favorite recording artists include The Righteous Brothers and The Supremes. Read- ing books about World War II is one of Doreen's pastimes. JANE C. BURGESS 59 Bainbridge Street Commercial Nurse Jane was a three-year member of Kappa Phi and a member of CYO. She supported her class in Chan- nel '68 , Yesterday's Gone , and Shuffle Jane also attends all of our football and hockey games. She spends her,summers as a park instructor. BARBARA BROOKS 10 Lynn Street Commercial Secretary Barb is a member of the Church of the Open Bible Youth Group. She relaxes to her own guitar play- ing and that of Peter, Paul, and Mary. Barb, also interested in oil painting, is a fan of the MHS football team and attends all their games. PATRICIA A. BUCKLEY 125 High Street Commercial Model A homeroom representative for Maldonizzn and Blue and Gold, Pattie was also a member of the Ski Club, Tri-Hi, The Business Club, and the Pep Club. She has supported her class in all of their activities including Yesterday's Gone and Noel . EDWARD G. BURKE 421 Salem St. College Civil Engineer Captain of cross-country, Ed also displays ability in indoor and out- door track. He received letters for excellence in all three of these sports. He is also the recipient of track awards and trophies outside of school. Ed was a two-year member of CYO. GALE BROWN 200 Mountain Ave. Commercial Med. Secretary Taking an interest in many .out- door sports events, Gale especially likes to participate in water skiing and tennis. During school, her favorite subjects are Shorthand and Typing. Whenever she has a free moment, Gale listens to the songs of The Monkees. ROBERT L. BUCKNER 171 Glenwood St. College Undecided Bob was a two-year member of COG and a one-year member of the Band. He is an organist in The Randomsu, a band which plays at many college concerts and mixers. He composes and plays his own music on the organ. In sports he enjoys swimming and skiing. MARGARET M. BURKE 77 Costance St. College Nurse Margie is Vice-President of the Future Nurses Club and a one- year member of Greenroom. She was President of the North Shore Prancers and is still an active member. Margie's outside interests are Waterskiing, swimming, and listening to records.

Class of l958 ANNA CAPPELLO 43 Wentworth St. Commercial Secretary Anne was a hard worker on the Senior farewell dance, Yester- day's Gone. She was a one-year member of the Pep Club and the Business Club. Anne enjoys danc- ing and painting, and listening to The Supremes or Wayne Newton. CATHERINE M. CARON 24 Albion Street General I.B.M. Operator Cathy is a three-year member of the Catholic Youth Organization. Her best subiect is History, but she also excels in cooking. Cathy enioys listening to all types of folk music, especially French Canadian, and the recordings of Peter, Paul, and Mary. JOSEPH CANDELORA 52 Oakland St. General Navy Candy is employed by Pearl Bakery after school hours. In school he enjoys Psychology and Physics. When not getting exercise playing such sports as baseball, football, hockey, and swimming, Candy relaxes to the music of The Temptations or The Miracles, FRED J. CAPODILUPO, JR. 376 Salem Street General Singer Freddie, whose favorite hobby is singing, was a three-year member of both the Choral Art Society and Chamber Singers. He also sang in Channel '68 , and was a homeroom representative for one year. In school, English is the subiect in which Freddie excels. CHARLENE CARBERRY 538 Medford Street Commercial Business School Charlie has been a three-year member of Alpha Delta Alpha, a two-year Vocational Cheerleader, and a one-year member of the Pep Club. In her spare time she collects and listens to records. Charlie keeps active by going boat- ing, surfing, or ice skating. ARLEEN P. CARROLL 41 Coleman Street College Teacher Arleen was two-year member of the Pep Club and a cheerleader in her Senior year. She was also a member of Future Teachers, French Honor, USONA, and Tri- Hi. Arleen served on the Student Council, and worked on the ticket committee for Channel '68 . DENNIS CARLAN 78 Seaview Ave. College Undecided Besides working at the Malden Knitting Mills after school, Dennis is also a member of the MHS baseball team. He has been a student council representative for two years, and was an usher at Channel '6S. Dennis also helped on the dance committee for Carousel PAUL CARTER 37 Harding Ave. Voke Undecided Paul is a .member of the Town Line Bowling League. A fan of Mark Twain and, most of all, foot- ball, he would never miss a Patriots game. Among his hobbies are reading and carving. Paul con- siders Metal Fabrication his most interesting subiect. F' MARGARET J. CAPONE 10 Mills St. College Teacher Margaret was a two-year member of the MacDowell Girls' Concert Choir and the Blue and Gold typ- ing staff. She helped her class by working on Shuffle and singing Mame in Channel '68. Marg- atet's hobbies include playing the guitar and waterskiing. ALLAN CARMAN 29 Columbia St. College Dentist An honor student, Al was a two- year member of COG and Latin Honor, and one-year member of French Honor. Al belonged to the Pilgrim Youth Fellowship, where he served as Vice-President. After school he is employed at Ken- nedy's Egg and Butter Market. JOHN R. CASCIO 425 Lynn St. General Accountant For four years, Cash played the clarinet in Malden High School's Band. With Woodworking being his favorite subject, his specialties are hope chests and cabinets. Swimming, fishing, baseball, and listening to The Beatles are what Cash calls relaxation.
